This is my local YMCA camp's annual Thanksgiving morning Turkey Chase 10K. Camp Letts provides a beautiful setting for DC-area kids to get away from the city.

Every year for the last five years, they have held this fun event. Open to 10K runners, and 5K runners and walkers, it takes place with other fun activities like pony rides and face-painting for the kids. They have a giant Turkey Mascot, awards, a fire in the lodge fireplace, and a great breakfast to hold you over until you can get to your Thanksgiving supper later in the day.

This shot was taken as the 10K course was passing it's fifth mile. You can see the walkers with their colorful umbrellas interspersed with the runners.
