me too, Brian. Some of the red leaves are so vivid. We really enjoyed this past autumn, it seemed there were so many gorgeous shades of red leaves around, - we went into Vancouver especially to see them, in our old area.

I hate when I don't have a camera and something catches my eye that could have been a great picture. I 'do' carry around a camera phone, but it takes horribly small images and is basically worthless.

Am not sure about this tree, Brian, as it's not ours : ) --there seem to be so many varieties of Japanese Maples. We have 2 of the more "dwarf" type, - one of those has deep maroon coloured leaves, (not esp attractive apart from the shape of the tree) - the other has green leaves. Have noticed this taller tree with the sun illuminating the leaves as we've been driving by, so wanted a pic of it, but it was later in the day when we finally stopped, so the sun was not having quite the same effect on the leaves, so I was a bit disappointed, but took some shots nevertheless. Am still hoping to get some shots of this one when the leaves are "illuminated", but no hope today, - dreary rain : ) Yesterday the tree was glorious as we passed, (no camera) as we were going shopping. Typical : )
