About This Image

Found this beautiful camellia in SC while visiting a cemetary. It was on the grave site of the mother and father of my childhood best friend. The dad was a floral hobbyist and created hybrids of camellia bushes. I like to think this was one of his.

echoing all the other listers' comments. Such lovely formation of the petals on camellias, and delectable colour on this one - & will add that the story about the dad of your childhood friend is interesting too. reminds me of a similar feeling of mine, re a family friend who always grew prize zinnias, a grandpa figure of mine, from childhood days in England. so most years we always have zinnias in our garden, in memory of Pop Ware : )

As usual, just great. Love the simplicity of the photo. It is so full of geographic shapes, a square, a circle and semicirlces/elipses. Great lighting also. This one is a classic.
