A male ruby-throated hummingbird was perched on a tree branch near the feeder.He seems to have assumed command of the feeders now.

Outstanding photo!! The green background works great with the green color of the bird. Nice use of your depth of field. You are so lucky to have so many cool birds to chase where you live.

he's gorgeous. Haven't seen our male for ages. I don't know what became of the "original" females and male that were around here.
