peaceful Fraser River south arm estuary where it meets the Pacific Ocean.
There was a glimmer of sun as it set behind the clouds.
There are mountains in the background but a bit difficult to see in this image.

thanks very much, Steve, am happy you like it. We went there today, thinking I'd get some wonderful shots of the herons on such a bright sunny day (after days of gloom, LOL) -- No Luck, plus the water was not calm like this either. So maybe the herons prefer a duller day with calmer water, as there were none to be seen along the river banks today.

I just love the quality of the light in this image, and the stillness of the water is remarkable.

thanks Carol, yes, we really noticed the tranquility there too, and said we'll go there a lot this summer, and take a picnic lunch with us and "just sit" and "look" (in between capturing heron images, lol)
