About This Image

This tabernacle was built between 1839 and 1845 in Nauvoo, Illinois - shortly before the Mormons were forced to leave and started their arduous trek westward. Friend Becky sits before my camera while admiring the beautiful gardens

I never realized that, Alandra - but I did get a closeup of the statue on top - and sure enough - he is indeed wingless. Becky and Al's son is a Mormon since his marriage several years ago. Our restaurant manager recommended this place to Mike. As a history buff, Al was thrilled to see the restored town and it's well-documented history, but being able to share it in photos with their son made it even more special. My internet went down before I could add any other photos of this intriguing place last night.

beautiful building/Temple and gardens. A friend told me that the angels in the Mormon/LDS faith have no wings.
