Our are the Golden retrievers and long haired, at this time of the year I brush them on the lawn and leave their fur for thr sparrows to collect for there nests, by the following day it's all gone.

cute hearing about your dogs, too, Lorraine. Our yellow Labrador retrievers do the same as yours, they know their own toys. So does our little Bichon, - they are all so comical at times. Do you have Golden Retrievers or Yellow Labrador Retrievers? They all get along so well, and seem to know they are all "retrievers" when we meet "goldens". The guide dog group we belong to, are now crossing yellow labrador retrievers with the longer haired golden retrievers, - they say that makes the best combination to use as Guide dogs for blind people. Our Maggie was originally trained to be a guide dog.

My two Golden Retreivers also have their toys, and each one knows his own toys, the shepard will swipe one now and then to play with, he has a ball that know one gets near

thanks for the comment Doug. we were surprised at how much our 3 dogs love their stuffed toys - that's cute how your dog counts his : )

A cute photo Alandra, our Shepherd has quite a collection of toys, which he loves and counts everyday to make sure they're all there.

thanks very much, Woodglob. She's a great pal : ) as is Maggie, our older Lab, who we just realized is nearly 9, not nearly 10!

thankyou Karen and Vicki. this is so true to exactly how Lucy is, especially with regard to "her baby". she walks about with it in her mouth a LOT : )

Ooh - Alandra - I really love the softness of the colors in this. Thw whole composition flows together so subtly. Lucy is beautiful

This is adorable. I'm not surprised that they don't tear up their toys, because Labs are soft-mouthed dogs--hence they don't tear up the birds they fetch. She is truly beautiful.

thanks again, Kathy. Yes, she does love this stuffed toy. Had to take it away from her recently and hand wash it, - she was a bit dejected til it dried : ) - took a couple days. We finally got round to buying Maggie, our older Lab, her own toy also, so now they all have their own toys. We never bothered with stuffed toys for the Labs before, as didn't realize they'd like them, but they LOVE them!

yes it's me, I get lazy sometimes &:-) I really like this pic, you can tell she's attached to her little stuffed toy. Like she's protecting it. so cute!!

glad you like it, Carol and Alex, thanks. they are beautiful dogs and we love them so much. Including little "rescue" Ruggles, the Bichon. the toy is something new for the Labs. We never bought them stuffed toys before, and DH said they wouldn't bother with it, - but after seeing how Ruggles loves his stuffed "mallard", - decided to get a toy for the Labs, and they LOVE it. Am surprised they don't rip it, but they carry it around. Am going to get another one for them, so they have one each (worse than kids, lol). Am gonna make sure we get a brown stuffed toy this time tho, as this light coloured "bear" is not "light" anymore : )
