Descent into the San Juan River Valley, Utah.
This is from a 35mm print. I developed the film and made the print myself.
The image of this photo has haunted me for the past 25 years. I could see it in my mind, but I couldn't remember what I did with it. Tonight, I found the book I put it in, along with many many other prints that I made.
I was driving from Colorado to Arizona when I came upon this scene. I just stopped my truck and sat there in amazement for a very long time.
Fortunately, I had the presence of mind to take a few photographs. This is the best of the lot.
I've just got to get back to this place someday. I know where it is, I just have to go there.

Thanks Alex and Alandra. And Happy New Year to you and yours too. Today is an extra special day for me and Marsha. It is the anniversary of the day we got together, New Year's Eve 1968/1969. We celebrate it every year. Rather quietly in recent years.
