About This Image

This hover fly decided to take a rest on the forget-me-not flower just as I captured it!

Thanks Anne, Lorraine, Cindy and Carol. Forget-me-nots seed freely and interbreed, so there is an infinite variety of shades. I think they generally start more purple before turning that marvellous china blue colour.

This is a very nice close up of a pretty little flower.

Very nice, but also slightly different to mind, we don't have the purple either.

How beautiful the forget-me-nots are. I didn't realize the buds were purple? And I have had forget-me-nots in my garden. Mine had thin stem. The weather in W.Va.? Or a different species? Yours are lovely, anyway. The hover fly seemed to like them. *g*
