About This Image

Herons' Nesting Area, in our area. This is to give an idea how far away and how high up the herons' nests are, on the Bluff area to the Left of image.
Purposely didn't crop any of the image, so that you can see where I stand, in the foreground, to capture the heron nest shots, to get an idea of the distance involved. The front of our SUV is just barely showing at the Right, plus the vehicle shadow is across the roadway.
Also, I left the overhead wires and poles in image, so you can see how these great blue herons have to navigate to avoid the power lines, - notice the red flags on the wires to warn the herons. Also, the wires are another obstacle from the photographers' point of view :)

Just wanted to add, that some of the power lines have been removed now, for the sake of the herons who nest on the cliffs there, so they won't have such a hard time navigating now, when coming and going from their nests to feed their young.

thankyou Cindy for the nice comments. Yes it is pretty there/here, -- the sea is just to the Right of the photo. We live just over to the left of the Bluff area, a short drive from there.
