About This Image

This Great Tit was photographed at a local nature reserve. It was extremely cold and windy, which made the bird's feathers 'fluff out'.
This poor little creature had an injured wing which made him unable to fly very well, or, for long distances. It didn't stop him trying though and he was very difficult to 'capture' because he kept flying from tree to tree every few seconds.

Thanks for viewing :)

Thanks for commenting Alandra. Yes, I think these are like chickadees - same shape. I hope he's recovered too.

lovely image, Jas. very much like our Chickadees, slightly different colouring on it's back tho'. I hope the poor little thing recovered from it's sore wing.

Thanks to all who have left comments. Am so glad you like this little bird. Although I photographed this at a nature reserve, they are frequent visitors to our garden and very interesting to watch. They 'dart' back and forth across our garden to the feeders but rarely stop for more than seconds at a time. :)
