The mixture that binds them is thickened sugar syrup. I suppose it must have been kept in a mould to cool. It was delicious. Thanks.

well, to answer my own question, guess it would be crunchy since it consists also of nuts. but I meant the mixture that binds it together.

very unique, and bet it was deelish : ) would like to buy some of this also, as love dried fruit. Is the texture crisp/crunchy, or a bit pliable?
