About This Image

Anothe in the Beauty and Beast series. (I hope you can tell which is which). Love the contrast between the soft delicate features of the egret and the rough texture of the muscle encrusted rock. I could have brought out more detail in the rock, but I think that would have distracted from the gentle tone of the image.

hi nice picture i understand what Steve is saying the rock does look like a dark mass but enhancing this area the fineness of the egrets feathers maybe lost ....

Great phot! I love these birds and try my best to capture their image when I can. The contrast is great too.

Very nice shot, and I see what you mean about the distraction which might come as a result of bringing out more of the rock's detail. However, I think you could do a bit more without risking that - at the moment the rock looks a bit heavy and lifeless, I think!
