: I Never Promised You a - Roof Garden; We recently returned to the new Pennsylvania Visitors Center at Delaware Water Gap. On our first visit I didn't take the time to check out the upper deck, even though the canopies intrigued me. This time I did. All I expected were beautiful vistas . . . instead I was treated to this delightful rooftop garden picnic area, with lovely patterns formed by the overhead canopies. As soon as I turned the corner at the top of the steps that old song came to mind - it was unlike any other visitor center I've stopped at and a huge contrast to the simplicity of the building proper.

Oddly, this is about the only time that high noon is the time to grab images here - to square off the geometric canopy reflections on the ground. The sky and forested mountaintops are the perfect bsckdrop for relaxing - especially if you just came from New Jersey or New York City where traffic is insane. Vicki
