Made my first trip to the zoo in 20 years. It is a photographer's paradise. Bring a long telephoto lens for the best shots and you will have a field day.

This shot is of a meerkat, native to Africa and looks something like a praire dog, though not related. Actually related to the mongoose. Very cute creatures. They are quite unique in their posture as they tend sit up. They adopt this posture to scout for danger.
