This is a red fox we saw duck into some brush from the edge of a country road. I followed to where he went in, and saw him watching me from about 30 feet away, very unconcerned. We eyeballed each other through the brush for about 20 minutes, I shot pictures and he scratched fleas. When I tried to move a little closer, he simply got up and ambled away through the brush.
