Small Yellow Flower

These little wildflowers dotted the area around Lilly Lake. They were peculiar in the fact that the flower seemed to point down to the ground rather than up towards the sun. If you know the name if this flower, please let me know.

Brian, Looks close to our eastern US Trout Lily, but its not one. The Trout Lily has pink on the yellow.

The entire plant was about 3 inches tall, the flower itself was about an inch in diameter. Are there lilies this small? It's sort of funny, but I think this picture is bigger than life sized, depending on what your monitor's resolution is set at.

I will have to say it's the Glacier Lily, but since there are so many I may be wrong.

This looks like a lily to me- hence the name of the lake. Nice picture!
