Thank you for the feedback, Randy. I looked at your photos of both and am sure it is the Squirrel Tree Frog. I saw another two days ago while we were back in Florida - but didn't have my camera - about 1 1/2" and no stripe. The Green Treefrog is not common in that region. Thanks for the input and your great images. That's a very nice site.

Vicki, You mentioned 2 inches and that would be larger than the hard to tell apart Squirrel Tree Frog. But 1 1/2 inches it good for Squirrel Tree Frog, these are hard to tell apart at times. The white stripe on the side is reduced making it hard to tell even more, as both could have this. No stripe would be good for Squirrel Tree Frog and bold stripe would be good for Green Tree Frog. See my Squirrel Tree frog at http://public.fotki.com/rlephoto/frogs_and_toads/4056_treefrog_squir.html

Actually, randy, according to the Florida Audubon Wildlife Guide, it's listed as a "Squirrel Tree Frog". I did give him his name in the first one of him I posted. If you know about frogs, please look at the other one and tell me if that's scarring under his left eye.

He's at his full size - about 1 1/2" long - why he was out during the day I have no idea, though he was a bit lethargic.

We saw him in the Ocala National Forest in Florida in February. There were many frogs out there in the nearby lake but the other nocturnal wildlife made it a bit unsafe to go down to the water's edge.

Great shot and the expression is fantastic. I believe it is a Green Tree Frog, they range to about 15 miles of my pond, so I have yet to get one here.
