These pretty yellow wildflowers were by themselves in the middle of a hiking trail in Fernwood State Forest. I was able to get a shot with some very dark shaded woods in the background. The flowers were so bright in the sunlight that the short exposure really blackened the background. Thanks for stopping by. Don

Splendid V shaped pattern of these flowers. The sharp detals in the front and the loss of detail in the back leads one eye right into the photo. The dark background pops the bright flowers off the page. The composition is gorgeous.
