Thanks Whittler for looking in, don't wory its already stacked in the shed and another load also, because it was so dry as soon as it was delivered we went straight to work getting it into the shed, just in case of rain.

Hi larry thanks for looking in, your comments are so right, we brought this in and the people that cut it earn every dollar that they charge, cutting fire wood is really hard work, but great to see stacked in the shed at the end of the day.

You know, there's some thing about a pile of fire wood, it's like a symbol of hard work and warmth, you look at it with pride, it warms you up more than once, when you cut it, when you stack it, and when you finally put it in the stove or fireplace...I like to see pictures of fire wood, nice picture..I live in a part of the world where very much of that is used, mostly maple, beech, yellow birch..

Thanks Golda and Ann for looking in, this is mac fire wood, its slower burning but sparks quite a bit, pine is good but burns very fast, Sometimes April, may just depends how long the summer hangs about for, we have and older home and it can get quite cold early, we have two fire places and in the middle the both go.

A familar sight Lorraine. My daughter bought six cord of wood also. What is the hard wood in New Zealand? I like this picture very much as it shows how close in many ways we all are in this place called Earth.

In this hemisphere we are still keeping warm by the fire,I guess you have that to look forward to.When does the first fire get lit in New Zealand?

Thanks for looking in Carol, we are making a point of getting wood early this year, our old suppler sold us wet wood last year, what a mission it was to keep the fire going, we won't make the same mistake this year.
