A wonderfully artistic great old Church!!! The green plant by the door made an extra welcome to all. I liked the tall and short round steeples. And the really lovely light and shadows!! Beautiful picture.

Hi Carol, Thank you for commenting. This is a little different from more recent efforts at adding light beams. The light beam here is actually a layer that was added and the levels increased. Since then I've added the "Mystical Lighting" filter set to my systems that is more efficient at accomplishing the same thing. Doug :)

Thank you Vicki and Whittler for your kind comments. There are a couple of my photos posted at the website Alex provided too. The above image is a composite with the light beam added as an extra layer. There are four versions of this. Best Wishes, Doug

This is terrific - but it looks like a painting. Most impressive in all aspects. Thanks, Doug! And thank you, Alex for the link info

Wonderful picture. Almost painting like. In response to Dud's question earlier, Fort Ross was an outpost established by the Russians back in the early 1800's. For more historical information visit this website: Click on the "I want more history" link and you will find all you would ever want to know about Fort Ross.

Great shot of the historic church!! Is there any thing in particular, besides age, that makes it historic?
