Hi Steve and Don, thanks to both of you for the nice comments, was just thinking we hadn't seen either of you "around" here for awhile, good to see you back again. Steve, there is a little bit of the owl's tail there. Their wings are so large and wide, that it appears to me as if they "fold" them up in layers somehow when at rest, otherwise the wings would hang so far down. Just my idea :) We looked for the owl in the same area today, no luck.

thanks Carol and Alex for the nice comments. We were driving by and I spotted it, - so we backed up and it stayed on the fence post for a few "shots", then flapped over to the next post and so on, a couple times, then flew farther away. Didnt get as many sharp shots as thought I had tho', guess I still had the camera set for the herons, duh :)
