A beautiful shot you captured. You live in a beautiful part of the world. I've been checking out your web site at different times. The legend gave me a smile.

If you'd like to know more about this mountain and why Lulu mentions a 'giant' please visit my NZ Collection page for Te Mata Peak on www.silverdebster.com. There's a brief note included about the Maori legend associated with the mountain. Thanks for viewing :)

This is great! You didn't happen to get any with my home town of Hastings did you? I get up there so rarely that I forget how beautiful it is. I would have had a lovely photo of the peak from Hastings about a month back. The "giant" was lying on a pillow of cloud. I could have kicked myself when I reached for my camera and realised I had forgotten to take it with me.
