About This Image

Maine, the way life should be.Although there are no Loch Ness monsters in this water but, there are some monster brook trout and brown trout here and if you have a flyrod and a few good flies this is the place to be.
You can roll out of the bed in the morning and jump right into your waders and go out and catch your fresh trout for breakfast .It don't get any better than this.

The Jewel is without qoeutisn my favorite place to stay in the Menahga/Park Rapids area. Rick and Lynn are very friendly and accommodating. Rick's gourmet breakfasts are the best in Minnesota, in my opinion. I have stayed at the Jewel at least once a month for the past 2 and one-half years. (My mother was in an assisted-living facility in Menahga during that time.) Rick and Lynn go above and beyond with each visit, even supplying favorite beverages and snacks without being asked. I took 2 close friends there in early May, and they are now bragging about the Jewel to their friends. The biggest compliment I can give them is that they are more like family to me than some of my family members. They make you feel valued and special from the moment you arrive. My mother passed away on Jan. 31, but I will still go to the Jewel as often as I can because of the wonderful friendliness and hospitality I experience there!

I've added the comments back that were hidden due to being warned. I have removed the gibberish comments and a few related to the gibberish. Thanks, and I'm looking into ways to enhance the management of the comments sections to put the controls into the hands of the member rather than myself.

I too would be disappointed in having any comments unduly removed,so I'll comment again as my comment is one of those removed. This image was one of the first I commented on when I first joined six months ago and was taken by it's beauty and serenity. It also inspired me to join thelensflare. What a perfect reflection.
