Thankyou very much for the nice comments, Mary from England, Alex, and Mel : ) Of course, am wishing it was a bit clearer but we were quite a distance away and it all happened so fast. But thought it would give a good idea of the wing size etc. They really are magnificent birds. Didn't realize the stream was there at the time I took the photo, too much happening : ) just "snapped" and hoped I'd captured the flight of the owl.

I can't believe this is for real! I'd have to have found an owl picture, cut it out and stuck it on!! To see the wings and from that angle is wonderful. And I really like the colouring in this. To have the water and reflection really finishes it off beautifully. Stunning picture Alandra.
