portrait of our Abyssinian cat, as he sat with my husband yesterday out in the back garden. He's an indoor cat, he has no front claws, the former owners had his claws removed, so he can't be let outside to roam

He has a most intent look. Very intelligent looking. A beautiful cat portrait.

many thanks Tania. He's a lovely and loving pet. One vet told us that it's unusual for this breed of cat to be loving, so that surprised us. The vet was so taken with our cat that she didn't charge us anything for our visit :)

thanks for taking time to leave the nice comment, Lulu. You are right about there being so many beautiful cat breeds out there. After seeing those 2 Birmans, I fell in love with those. This fellow is so loving. He'd sit with us all day long if we had the time to do that. Someone who had him before must have spent a LOT of time holding him.

Alandra, he is beautiful. You know how I feel about cats. We went to a cat show recently and saw this breed of cat. They reminded me of your cat. There are so many beautiful breeds out there. In fact, all cats are beautiful - especially my two which are of no particular breed. A lovely shot of your little treasure.

thanks Tam, yes, I feel the same way re declawing cats. Would never have it done, but his were done when we got him, poor thing.

Wow a beautiful face he has. too bad he was declawed. I feel that is animal cruelty of sorts. Give him pets and hugs for me :) Z

Very nice cat portrait. He is a beautiful cat. I know how difficult it can be to photograph cats. Dogs are much easier.

thanks Karen and Janice. Was trying to get his eyes in a bit higher gaze, but you know how obstinate cats are, and they wont do what you want them to : )

I wonder if he is like Sparkle, and hates the camera. Great shot.

Is this your cat? He is sure a beautiful feline. The markings are striking. The details that you have captured are excellent. I can just feel the softness of his fur. I liked that you placed him in the full frame. Wonderful job.

Very nice cat portrait. He appears to be staring very intently at something.
