just had another look at this one, - makes me smile too. Too bad that no snowy owls overwintered in our area this winter. Had looked forward to seeing them again, down by the beach.

Hi Nancy, am late with these thanks. Think you are right, he is probably yawning. They seem to spend a lot of time sleeping.

many thanks Tania and Don for the nice comments. Yes, know what you mean, Tania, -- I have spent hours watching them, knowing that they would soon be leaving til next winter. They are fascinating. And Don, am smiling at your comments. They do make the strangest faces at times.

thankyou everyone, Janice, Mary and Beverly for the nice comments, glad it gave you a smile also :) Am wondering if the snowies are still there, or if they are on their long journey back to the Arctic by now.

thankyou both, Karen and Cindy, glad you like it :) Yes, you are right, Karen, - this is the area to put this type of camera and lenses to good use, with all this wildlife around us. And I've enjoyed the equipment SO much, and have never once thought that I shouldn't have bought it. Every time I go out with it, am thankful I bought it :) it's given me so much pleasure and happiness.
