rufous male hummingbird bathing on our front patio water bubbler. Note water droplets on its beak and the splashes as he moves his tail area to bathe.

This is the 2nd male rufous to arrive here. At least, I think it's a rufous, altho' notice it seems to have a few green iridescent feathers ontop of its head. Perhaps it's an Allen's? (back to the bird book to check :)

Hi Jas, thanks so much for the lovely comment and praise. They are so entertaining and pretty. We watched one of the males bathing again today, but I didn't interrupt him today with taking any pics :) They lay their heads right down in the water, sideways, so as not to hurt their long beaks. Interesting to watch them.

Beautiful photo Alandra of the gorgeous Hummer with it's bright colors. I really like the water flying around and the water drops on it's beak. Great Job!!!
