About This Image

Well after trying to get a photo or just see a Hummingbird all summer, I finally captured one resting in the trees this morning after it took a bath and got a drink from my birdbath. By the time I noticed him or her playing in the water and got my camera the bath was over. The weather has cooled down around here to a chilly 50 degrees at night so maybe the hummers will be dropping by more.

Hi Ann, It sure does look pretty rough, but he/she is nice and clean :) Thanks for dropping by my photo and for your nice comment.. Maybe the next time they are around we will both get more hummer photos. There's no special setting, you just have to be in the right place at the right time and take the photo really fast before they zip off.

I'm with Talsi in that the little hummer looks a little tired or maybe it's because it was so wet. It's great you got a capture of the hummer. I tried all summer to get one of two hummers that came to my garden. Just haven't found the knack or setting to capture one yet.
