My daughter took me shopping and I nearly missed this wonderful treat. How beautiful!!! With his head turned just to the right position and looking back just a little to watch you take his picture. *g* How very, very lovely! Wonderful picture!!

Thanks Steve and Alandra. The coloring on his throat depends on the lighting when the photo is taken.Also the angle has a lot to do with it.

his gorget really shows up well here, Carol. This one seems to have a different colour gorget than "yours" usually have, they are usually more ruby coloured, right? Steve, someone told me sometime ago that there are hummingbirds at the London Zoo. Can't wait til they return again :)

All my photos of birds and flowers are cropped.This hummer is at least 3 times as big as a hummingbird really is.

Well, no problem with shadows this time! This shows off that vivid bib wonderfully. I think this is a crop from a larger image - am I right?
