Thanks Mike (good to know that you're not really called grumpy!) To get this kind of vivid colour I had to underexpose, and then lighten the background, otherwise you end up with the red being washed out. And you come from Middlesbrough? Know it well!

Yes Alandra, roses seem to be constant favourites! You know, I really can't remember if this one had much of a scent, which probably means it didn't or I would have remembered!

we never tire of rose photos -- especially when it's autumn now :) - did this one have a lovely scent to match its beauty?
