You can see the parent owl higher up between the branches, at the top of image, only just noticed this! The parent is leaning forward, certainly keeping close watch on US and that youngster, little did we know at the time! just found these images taken of the baby owls last summer, - had never taken time to view them closely enough at the time, as had so many to look at, - and some were dark, and I didn't know how to correct this then. I Love this shot, - how well the young owl is camouflaged. Such incredible beauty!!

thanks for the praise, guys. Just had a thought, that the parent owl looks as if it's wearing a Jester's hat LOL, - the way it's ears look as it's leaning forward above the younster owl.

thanks, Southern Heart, - we looked today, when we went to the same place where these owls were sitting and checked to see where the parent owl was perched, -- it was in a tree just behind the tree where the young owl is. All the leaves are off the trees now, so we realized why we missed seeing the parent owl in this shot earlier.
