Sorry, can't help but laugh at this one. I might call it "Shark bait"! I think he is testing the waters.

Thanks for your input on this. Cropping was necessary to enhance the desired effect. These birds really lend themselves well to a B&W format. What makes this picture for me is both the position and orientation of the birds and the pointy beaks on the sandpipers which are almost thorny like.
