this is Mt Ruapahu in the middle of the North Island New Zealand. It only had a light dusting of snow. 3 days later there was snow almost to the plains. My camera refused to take photos so I missed out on taking photos of the snow.

Bernie lol that is on my new camera. my older on passed that mark quite a while ago. I take my camera with me everywhere and use it not alway a success but it is all fun

Wow. 9999 photos!! Was your dad Japanese LOL. There was snow?? We couldn't see it for the FOG!!! This looks awesome with the mountain on the horizon of the desert. From this shot, you would necer think this was NZ's winter playground

Thanks Lorraine. No the bateries did not get to cold. I have a counter on my camera (that I did not know about). I had taken 9999 photos so it would not allow me to take any more. As I had left my manual at home I did not know about the counter and how to reset it. I worried the next 4 hours home. lol

Nice shot tania, were the batteries cold in you camera? remember what we laughed about, with batteries that were to cold to work.
