Thanks for commenting. They are about the size of a robin but not as full-bodied. They copy calls of other birds, hence the name.

this is pretty, have never seen a mockingbird before. How big are these birds? about the size of a North American robin, or larger?

I have had the chance to hand raise a couple of these birds--they become quite tame, but they can be aggressive towards other birds. Thank you for commenting.

This mockingbird is a great closeup. I really like it and it taught me the state bird of my neighboring state.
