The trail was difficult to traverse with many stream crossings, scrambling under and over downed trees, crossing boulder fields, and dodging snakes, but we finally made it to a small abandoned mining site. Looking out and away from this seldom traversed side canyon was this splendid snow covered jagged mountain.

In my younger years, I loved doing that sort of thing. I miss it. But it is nice to see beautiful photos, such as yours, that show these beautiful places.

The blue really comes out in this picture, and I like how the trees frame the mountain.
