The shutter was open for 4 seconds on this shot. What I learned from taking it, is since the shutter will be open for a long time, it is best to wait until the sunset is nearly over. Also, it is very difficult to find a freeway overpass in an urban area you can use to photograph from. Most have no sidewalk and will not allow pedestrians. Those that do, often have protective fencing erected, to block your shot. This location was semi rural.
