About This Image

pretty blue bellflowers, believe this type is peach leaved Bellflower, there are many varieties of Bellflowers, as I've learned in my search for these :)

Can't believe we never had these in our garden before this year. Saw a vase on an office counter with these flowers in last summer, and made up my mind to get some of these perennials this year, so these are now growing in our front and back garden areas. We have mostly this type, but a couple other varieties also.

thanks Carol, for the nice comments. There are quite a few flowers on some of the plants now, - one is a bit darker blue than the other, so it's nice to have a variety. The white one isn't blooming yet.

thanks for the nice comment, Susan. I had a feeling you'd have these there also. I noticed today that some of the bellflowers are darker blue and some are a paler blue, so it's nice to have a variety. Believe some will be white also. Hope to find some pink ones like these eventually.

Hi Cindy, had a feeling that might happen when people saw the photo, which is one reason why I gave the name, as I found it quite confusing myself, as there are so many different types of these. I ended up getting several different plants (to make sure ONE would be the right one :) - but this is the one I had hoped to get. Another type (supposedly a new variety) has very large dark purple coloured bells, - not as open as these. The bellflowers shown here are the nicest variety, imo. Hope you find some, Cindy.
