About This Image

If you talk haunted houses in New Orleans, then you will come across this house. It is the most haunted due to horrors that took place when the building had its first occupants. The first were Madame Lalurie and her husband, Dr. Louis Lalurie. They gave lavish parties but were found to be mistreating their slaves in horrible ways. I would rather not go into detail about that unless asked. The ghosts who occupy this building are Mrs. Lalurie chasing a little girl with a whip and a large black man carrying chains, telling people to leave. I have seen pictures of the orbs from this house. The house is currently owned by Nicholas Cage.

I forgot to add that the iron railings is a Spanish influence. Most of the buildings in the French Quarter are Spanish in design due to two fires during the French period, one in 1788 and the other in 1794.

It is in the French Quarter and is known as the most haunted house in the most haunted city in America.

What interesting information about this building. I thought it was in New Orleans, when looking at the thumb nail. Is it in the French Quarter? The design and architecture of theses buildings is quite distinct, especially with the iron work railings. :)
