This is where the Lighthouse Keeper lived. In 1992 opened as a museum and Gift shop. Portland Head Light, Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

loved hearing the description, Carol, thanks. It sounds so idyllic there, and this building is so charming. What a wonderful card this would make!! You could make your own birthday cards etc and people would love to receive such a scene as this.

Thanks for commenting Alandra,it might be a wooden bird silloutte of a parrot, I zoomed it in and still cant tell but noone is there in the winter except for people like me just walking around outside. Right ajacent to it is Fort Williams Park. Ninety acres of beautiful park land that people can use to walk, picnic, browse through old fort structure, go through a old run down mansion and the best part of it they dont ever charged any fees, There were kids sliding on a hill there.

what a picturesque and quaint building! Love it. Is that a "parrot" hanging at one side there, near the steps?
