Thanks Alandra,Dud and Vicki for commenting.They are very hard to get without their wings moving or head too. i think they like the clear nectar, I use 1 part sugar to 4 parts water.Stir the sugar into boiled water.I think they like it as we are getting more of them everyday now.

Nicely done - the hummer pics lately have been phenomenal as they are about the most difficult to photograph well. On a personal note, I'm really glad to see you using clear nectar (the feeder has the color that attracts them.) A fellow who owns a wild bird feeding store once told me that the red coloring in many commercial products has been known to cause blindness in some hummers and clear sugar/water is the best - just remember to change it every couple of days - especially in hot weather, and don't make up a bunch ahead of time as it deteriorates rapidly.
