About This Image

this is actually a project i had to do for college. our assignment was to 're-create an iconic photograph' and kind of take on our own interpretation of it.i kind of left it till the last minute so i had to think of something that i could do in a night, and not need too much materials. so i chose the most iconic figure i could think of, hitler, and using an old dirty doll, would make a bit of a statement. so my sister gave me one of her daughters old dolls, i dirtied it up with black make up and crayons, and made his uniform simply out of paper. especially with the tragedies surrounding WWII with young children and 'Hitlers Youth'organisations, i thought a beat up childrens toy could represent the horrible effects of the war, i was delighted with the end picture. i havent gotten the results of the assignment yet from my teacher, but ill keep yee up dated.

just reading my description and i said the "most iconic figure i could think of...hitler"....i REALLY dont see hitler as an "icon" AT ALL, please dont get me wrong!! i mean it as in his face is so recognised all over the entire world, so he face and likeness is infamously iconic!
