thanks Alex. Am never sure if those "rust" coloured patches on the wings are feathers or skin. In some of the other shots, taken at nesting time, it looked like skin showing thru the feathers.

Nice portrait. Blends in fairly well in the grass. Never seen markings on a bird like that before.
