Thank you all for the nice comments. I never could tell if Smokey actually liked the music or hated it. It seemed like a bit of both. Smokey has been gone from us for quite awhile now. Toward the end of her life, our current cat, Willy, joined us. He doesn't seem to respond to the music.

This is a really funny shot, close to home :) One of our cats, Ali, gets himself worked up just like Smokey when I whistle, or play an instrument. Trouble is, I don't think Ali likes the music. If I don't stop he'll gently bite me .... and if I still don't stop the bites get harder. These days I stick to humming in a cupboard.
