Thanks, Alandra. They are smaller than the other herons. I almost missed this one. I was walking along the trail and almost didn't notice it at the water's edge.

Nice photo of the green heron, - am hoping to see them in our area before long also, have never seen one yet. Am interested to see what they look like - thought they were larger than this, thanks for sharing
