About This Image

As you can see by the gasous stacks puffing from the ground it was a very calm evening. The time/lapse on this night shot about a minute, standing on a chair with a tripod balancing as still as I could be.
Not sure exactly what the gases are possibly natural vents or more probably industrial exhaust, but does seem to form a line along the ground.
The sky tower is in Auckland city,
North Island,New Zealand.

Just a update-I think these are natural vents as just recently we had an earthquake 4.9 on the richter scale in Auckland-it has been 15 years since something registered through here, most of the city felt it,sorces tell us that it wasn't near the volcano platau, regards Vince.

Thank you Steve for your feed-back,I still think it is natural vents as this whole area is surrounded by extinct volcanoes,it's been over a year since I captured this gas mystery, regards Vince.

A great and rather mysterious shot. I like it a lot.
