Thats a great shot,we don't see these critters in Maine either, although we do have a fisher cat in the Maine woods.I like the pose too.

Dud, that web site gives a lot better info. I think the correct spelling is the one you found, meercat. That's in spite of the Honolulu zoo spelling it mircat. Anyway, they're kinda cute litle guys.

New to me too. I looked him up in Google. The spelling is actually "mircat". Didn't find much about him. Not even where he lives. I did find that they have one in the Honolulu zoo.
