Thankyou Alandra, it seemed a shame not to share the flowers they were so pretty, the twigs at the base are like you say a birds nest, I have had several arrangements like this in the last few months, it must be a new trend, they do keep the flowers nicely in place, I'll keep that part when the flowers die off, and use it when I take flowers from my garden (Roses) to my dads grave. Thankyou for the kind wishes also, I'm looking forward to a little more travel this year.

Belated Birthday greetings, Lorraine, what a unique and pretty floral arrangement! as well as being a lovely surprise. It seems to resemble a bird's nest, with the little twigs at the base and all the lovely spring flowers in them (autumn flowers in your part of the world, I guess :) Here's wishing you a great year ahead also.

Thankyou so much Mary, I had a very lovely day, we had planned to go out for tea but the weather was so bad I lit the fire and decided to stay home. Which was just as well because all the grands rang for a chat, which turned out to be quite comical at times.
