About This Image

These are fireworks from Natchitoches, Louisiana celebrating the independance of the United States from England. I wonder where the tradition came from of shooting fireworks, which make noises like guns and use gun powder to celebrate the independance of a country that was fought for with the use of guns. I am sure that tradition must have come from China since that is where rockets originated.

Thanks. It is easy to shoot fireworks. All you have to do is light the fuse and back up. Seriously, at first I had some difficulty because I was trying to time the shot for the works. Then I realized if I just kept shooting over and over eventually I would have to get some good shots.
