At first sight I thought it was 4th of July. *LOL* I really liked your fireworks. Or "the bombs bursting in air" Star Spangled Banner. I have read about Guy Fawkes - *g* though and do know about him. Amazing, isn't it to think July 4th would have to be celebrated by gunfire. *LOL* as still is in small towns. Great picture!!

Oh, that brings back memories for me too, Guy Fawkes night. Can almost smell the certain scent of the fireworks! We always had a big community bonfire at the end of our street in a small field area and the everyone from the street would gather there on "bonfire night" as we called it. All sorts of fireworks were set off, I can recall the Roman Candles spinning.

That brings back the memories. My birthday is Guy Fawkes Day and that made my birthday pretty popular when I lived in England from the late 50's to early 60's and watched the Beatles get their start (even though Billy Fury was my favorite rock star in those days - wasn't "Halfway to Paradise" his?)
